The White River High tennis team is ready for postseason. The South Puget Sound League 3A subdistrict tournament is scheduled to begin today, Wednesday, in Olympia and continue Thursday. The top players there advance to the West Central District tournament.

The Hornets have played the competition close all season and Thursday’s 3-2 loss with Bonney Lake was no different.

Rachel Hoflack picked up a victory, while No. 2 singles Morgan Wilson earned the Hornets’ other win.

The Hornets dropped a 4-1 match to Capital May 4. White River’s No. 3 doubles of Katie Durrant and Taylor Wombacher winning.

White River’s April 30 match with Auburn Mountainview shifted in the Hornets’ favor. Holly Hodgson’s win at No. 1 singles kicked of the 3-2 victory. Kelli Hoffman and Heidi Lyons won and Durrant and Wombacher won.
