White River High wrapped up the regular season with a fifth-place finish in the South Puget Sound League 3A.
As the league’s No. 5 club – with a record of 3-4-1 – the Hornets will participate in the crossover series against teams from the Seamount League. White River will face Evergreen at 5 tonight, Wednesday, at Foster High.
If the Hornets are victorious, they will play Saturday, taking the No. 9 seed into the West Central District tournament. The game would begin at 3 p.m. at Highline High in Burien. If the Hornets fall tonight, the season is done.
White River polished off the regular season Friday with a 1-1 draw against Enumclaw. The game’s goals came during the second half. The first by EHS’s Dylan Riley, the equalizer by WRHS’ Zac Morris.
