Enumclaw High judo team finishes second in state

Behind senior champion Chance Mitchell, sophomore A.J. Pontolandolfo and freshman Stevie Williams, Enumclaw High’s judo team finished second behind defending state champion Kentridge at the high school state championships Saturday.

Senior Lauren Store, junior Justin Cooper, junior Sarah Thomas and freshman Jade Paterson earned second place. Third-place finishers were juniors Austin Luthi, Erik Hines and Marie Nostilz.

White River

White River High’s judo team, behind title-winner Jeff Kisner, finished fifth at state.

Freshman Gavin Severson earned second and senior Anthony Moore placed fourth.
