Enumclaw High graduate Brian Scalabrine and the Boston Celtics lead the Los Angeles Lakers 3-2 in the best-of-seven series for the NBA Finals.

Scalabrine, in his eighth year with the NBA and his fifth with the Celtics, has been on and off the court with injuries this season, but has been a fixture at each of the finals games.

At the end of the regular season, the 6-foot-9 forward had suited up for 52 games with three starts. He scored a season-high 11 points against his former team, the New Jersey Nets, in January.

The Boston Celtics won Game 5 of the NBA Finals 92-86 Sunday night. The win puts another championship within the Celtics’ reach. Game 6 tipped off at 9 p.m. Tuesday in Los Angeles.
