A Plateau showdown is set for 5 p.m. Wednesday, when Enumclaw High hosts the Bonney Lake Panthers in South Puget Sound League 3A soccer action.

The Hornets opened the season by splitting a pair of games – first defeating Yelm, then losing Sept. 15 to the Peninsula Seahawks – and hosted Capital High Tuesday afternoon; results of Tuesday’s game came too late to be included here, but will be posted at www.courierherald.com.

The Hornets fell behind 2-0 at Peninsula, giving up one goal in the first half and another at the 44-minute mark, but responded quickly. Noelle Bauer struck twice for Enumclaw, finding the net in the 51st minute and again at 55 minutes, to tie the game. The hosts salted away the win with a tally in the 50th minute.
