While showing improvement, the Hornet girls lost two more games last week. The first was on Jan. 5, a home-court, 44-31 loss to Auburn Mountainview; that was followed Friday by a 54-43 loss at Lakes High.

The ladies of Lakes do not have much height and it quickly showed as junior EHS 6-footer Katina Ferguson scored 13 points going inside and hot-shooting guards Hayley Kohler and Rebekah Johnson combined to muster half of Enumclaw’s 43 points.

Enumclaw hosted Franklin Pierce Tuesday, with the results coming too late to report here. Friday, Enumclaw hosts rival White River in the nightcap of a twin bill being played along with the boys squads.
