EHS GOLF: Ladies blast off with a record; Salsbury scores pair of medalist honors

It was a record-setting week for Tiffany Wilkening as she led the Enumclaw girls golf team past Peninsula and Bonney Lake.

The sophomore’s 3-over par 40 at Canterwood in the Hornets’ 123-72 league win over Peninsula Sept. 6 set an EHS individual course record.

Thursday, she followed it up with a 4-over par 40 performance at home, leading EHS to a 137-125 league win over Bonney Lake.

On the boys side, Tyler Salsbury captured medalist honors in the Hornets’ league victories over Peninsula and Bonney Lake.

The senior shot a 3-under par 32 at home in an 85-70 win over Peninsula and carded a 1-under par 35 at High Cedars in an 87-60 win. Teammate David Smith finished at 1-over.

The Enumclaw’s girls are scheduled to host Lakes Thursday and Auburn Mountainview Tuesday, while the boys are on the road with the Lancers and Lions. Tee time for all varsity matches is 3:15 p.m.
