EHS GYMNASTICS: Bannerot leads Hornets to win

The EHS girls tallied 149.3 team points to lead the way, followed by the host Rams with 142.45, Sumner with 134.95 and Bonney Lake with 131.45.

EHS’s Olivia Bannerot won the all-around title. Individually, she won the vault with a score of 9.5, was tops in the bars, 8.1, placed fourth on the balance beam, 7.8, and was seventh in the floor exercise, 8.0. Also placing in the top 10 all-around was EHS’s Molly Mattheis who was third in the bars, 13th in the vault, 15th on the beam and 19th in the floor exercise.

Other top 10 finishes by EHS gymnasts included: Sarah Lurry, second in the vault, 8.5, eighth in the floor exercise, 7.75, and 10th on the beam, 7.2; Erica Bonthius, second on the beam, 8.1; Michelle McKinlay, third on the beam, 7.9, fourth in the bars, 6.8, and ninth in the floor exercise, 7.7; Nikki Wilson, fifth on the beam, 7.8; and Kelsey Messer, fifth in the floor exercise, 8.15, and sixth on the beam, 7.7.

Other EHS gymnasts and their top scores for the evening were: Jerica Mitchell, 5.4 in the floor exercise; Lacey Peters, 5.5 on the floor; Jenny Irish, 5.5 in the vault; Annamarie Forza, 5.7 on the floor; Sherry Baer, 6.4 in the vault; Madeline Petellin, 6.5 in the vault; and Maria Blad, 7.2 in the vault.
