Enumclaw and White River fall all-league athletes

Fifteen Enumclaw High Hornets were honored when South Puget Sound League 3A football coaches selected their all-league squads.

Fifteen Enumclaw High Hornets were honored when South Puget Sound League 3A football coaches selected their all-league squads.

Making the future bright for EHS is that fact that only four of the honorees will be lost to graduation.

Named to the second team were senior wide receiver Trey Rodarte, senior offensive lineman Eli Dennison, junior linebacker Tyler Harris and junior defensive back Jordan Johnson.

Honorable mention honors went to junior quarterback Scottie Garvin, junior running backs Connor Pierce and Dan Heep, junior wide receiver and kick returner Jordan Johnson, junior offensive lineman Isaiah Cornish, junior defensive lineman EJ Knotts, sophomore defensive lineman Sam Rodarte, junior linebacker Sam Schuler, senior linebacker Mason Harp, senior defensive back Tarik Hagan and junior kicker Garrett Bergquist.

In addition, Enumclaw junior Jordan Misensol was named among the league’s special teams players of the year.

White River football

Four Hornets landed on the South Puget Sound League 2A second team, following a vote of league coaches. They were senior linebacker Garret Severson, junior linebacker Tommy Peltram, junior defensive back Andrew Northam and senior defensive lineman Polo Reyes.

Receiving honorable mention were senior defensive back Dustin France, senior linebacker Amen Guthrie and junior linebacker Jake Rundhaug. Also on the honorable mention list was junior Justin Tidwell, who was added not by position but with the “athlete” tag for his varied contributions.

Enumclaw boys water polo

Four seniors on the Enumclaw High boys water polo team were chosen for all-division honors.

Bryce VanHoof, the Hornets’ leading scorer, was a first-team selection.

Two teammates, Jack Pugh and Austin Kaehn, were named to the second team. Receiving honorable mention was Quinn Warner.

Enumclaw boys cross country

Eric Hamel and Bryce Johnson were first-team, all-SPSL 3A selections. Both are juniors.
