Friday results | Sumner doubleheader against Washington
The Sumner Spartans hosted the Washington Patriots Friday and both the Sumner boys and girls won.
The Spartans boys beat the Patriots 61-41 and the girls won a dominating game 60-14.
Bonney Lake Panthers
The Bonney Lake Panthers boys basketball team lost to Auburn Mountainview Friday 63-32. The Panthers are 0-2 and 0-12 overall.
The Bonney Lake girls lost a close game 58-56 to Auburn Mountainview on Friday. The girls are 1-1 and 9-3 overall.

Oakpointe is gearing up to start home construction in the Ten Trails project in Black Diamond — the developer is only waiting for is final authorization by the City Council. Final plat authorization was submitted by Oakpointe to city staff on Aug. 30, and after staff review, sent to the City Council for action on the Oct. 5 meeting. Council tabled the item to the Oct. 19 meeting. Additionally, a new roundabout opened in the city.
