Hornet water polo takes seventh in state

In their final tournament match, Enumclaw beat Bainbridge 7-2.

The Enumclaw High water polo team placed seventh during the state tournament, contested May 24-26 at Curtis High School in University Place.

Entering as the No. 3 seed from regionals, Enumclaw opened state play with a pair of losses, 13-2 to Bellevue and 10-5 to Mercer Island.

In their tourney finale, however, the Hornets registered a 7-2 win over Bainbridge Island.
