Lacrosse: Russell, Lucchessi land hat tricks

Andy Russell and Michael Lucchessi each landed hat tricks to lead Lake Tapps to its third victory of the season in a 12-7 boys high school lacrosse win over Vashon April 20 at Bonney Lake High.

Lake Tapps took a 4-1, lead stretching it to a 5-2 advantage into the half. Tapps added another two goals in the third quarter and five in the fourth to cruise to the win.

Seven Tapps players scored in the win with Collin Klontz and Josh Davenport contributing two goals each. Brandon Starks, Javan Chow and Zach Wooding also scored. Ben Kelley had four saves.

Lake Tapps (3-7-0) faces Eastlake (6-4-1) at 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, at Auburn Riverside High.

Girls

Undefeated Bellevue East rang up its eighth win of the season with a 14-3 defeat of Lake Tapps April 20 in Bellevue.

Ashley Enlow, Morgan Lancaster and Megan Lucchessi scored for Lake Tapps. Nicole Burkauser had 10 saves in goal.

Tori Gollinger scored five goals to lead Curtis past Lake Tapps 18-7 Friday in Auburn.

Enlow and Lucchessi each netted two goals for Tapps and Ashley Mounts had nine saves.

Lake Tapps (4-4-0) faces North Kitsap (2-5-0), today, Wednesday, at North Kitsap in Poulsbo.
