The Bonney Lake Panthers baseball team defeated the Enumclaw Hornets 13-2 Tuesday afternoon at home.

The Bonney Lake Panthers baseball team defeated the Enumclaw Hornets 13-2 Tuesday afternoon at home.

Both teams performed comparably in the first inning, with the Panthers  taking three runs to the Hornets’ two. In the second inning, the Panthers racked up 10 runs. The Panthers and Hornets took no more runs for the remainder of the game.

Michael Gretler, who ended with 3-RBI, went to bat twice and connected once. He ran to base twice himself.

Taiki Green, 2-RBI, went to bat three times and connected twice. He ran himself to home plate twice.

Chris Brown, 2-RBI, went to bat three times and connected twice. On the mound, Brown pitched four innings and struck out the Hornets twice.

The Panthers played Enumclaw again Wednesday, the last conference game of the regular season. Bonney Lake is ranked fourth in the South Puget Sound League 3A conference, with a win-loss record of 8-6.
