Panthers enter final week of basketball

The Panthers boys basketball team lost its third game in a row Friday to the Hornets. Bonney Lake traveled to Enumclaw and lost 51-40. The Panthers are now 1-11 in conference play and 2-16 overall entering the final week of the regular season. Friday’s game got off to a slow start for Bonney Lake, trailing 13-4 after the first quarter.

The Panthers are now 1-11 in conference play and 2-16 overall entering the final week of the regular season.

Friday’s game got off to a slow start for Bonney Lake, trailing 13-4 after the first quarter.

Entering halftime, the Panthers were down 10.

And after three, Bonney Lake still trailed the Hornets by 10, 35-25.

Despite scoring 15 points in the fourth quarter, the Panthers were unable to catch up to Enumclaw.

Senior guard Brady Thomas scored a team high 11 points during the loss.

For the final week of play, the Panthers traveled to Auburn Tuesday to face the Trojans.

And on Friday, Bonney Lake hosts the Sumner Spartans in a double header.

The boys tip off first at 5:15 p.m. followed by the girls at 7 p.m.
