The Panthers started strong with four runs in the bottom of the first inning, while the Conquerors racked up none in the top. The Conquerors took two in the second inning, but the Panthers widened the gap with three more.

By the third inning, there was little doubt who would emerge the victor. Bonney Lake made 12 runs for home base in the third to Kentwood’s zero. Kentwood came back with five in the fourth, but after Bonney Lake took a single run in that inning, and Kentwood took none in the fifth, the game ended by mercy ruling.

The Panthers’ Kala Wells accomplished 3-RBI in two at-bats and stole two bases. Madi Lowery accomplished 3-RBI in three at-bats and hit a double.

On the pitchers’ mound, Melissa Charron struck out three Conquerors.
