Bonney Lake’s fastpitch softball team defeated Peninsula 2-1 Tuesday night in conference play.

The Panthers drew first blood with one run in the first inning. Both teams matched each other with one run each in the fifth, but a run-less sixth and seventh secured Bonney Lake’s upper hand.

Kala Wells went to bat three times, connecting twice and firing off one triple.

On the mound, Melissa Charron struck out the Seahawks seven times.

The Panthers were scheduled to play Auburn Mountainview at home Wednesday afternoon.
