Bonney Lake High had games against Enumclaw and Clover Park postponed because of rain on April 13 and Friday, but in between managed to score a league win on the road.

Caitlin Colvin pitched five hitless inning as the Panthers downed the Peninsula Seahawks, 5-1, in SPSL 3A play April 15 in Purdy.

The game was scoreless until the third inning when the Panthers took a 1-0 lead. They scored four times in the fourth.

Colvin, who recorded six strikeouts, also had two hits at the plate.

Eva Beal had two doubles and scored a run.

“We’re still struggleing as a team at the plate,” coach Dave Loveless said. “We didn’t make the adjustments that good teams make. We are definetly beatable right now.”

The Panthers host Lakes in league action today, Wednesday, and play at Franklin Pierce Tuesday.

With less than a month remaining in the regular season, the Panthers have several games to make up because of weather.
