Kelly Sweeney’s 46 on the par-36 Canterwood Golf and Country Club gave the Enumclaw High Hornets a 93-69 victory over Peninsula Sept. 22 and her 3-over par 38 performance at home Thursday in a 93-17 win over White River kept the team’s record clean.

Her score also established a school record for the course since it was the Hornets’ first time there.

With Peninsula, one stroke behind the EHS junior were teammates Janie Francis and Torey Schriener. Kaylee Salsbury finished at 49, while Caitlin Runland came in at 50.

At home against White River, Sweeney birdied the final hole of the day to earn her 38 for 24 points. Schreiner carded a 43 for 19 points. Salsbury finished at 48 for 14 points. Claire Hinman earned 13 points with a 50. Two strokes behind was Runland for 12 points and Francis with 11 points.
