The Sumner girls soccer team ended its season Saturday in the quarterfinal round of the state tournament.

The Spartans lost 1-0 to Arlington Saturday afternoon at Sunset Chev Stadium.

The girls had beaten Stanwood 3-1 Nov. 10 to earn a berth in the quarterfinals.

The loss to Arlington was only the Spartans third loss of the season.

Sumner ended the season as 3A South Puget Sound League champions with a 13-1-0 record and 17-3-0 overall.
