Sumner’s girls soccer team spread the pain outside South Puget Sound League 2A on Saturday, delivering Foster High a 10-0 game and a swift boot out of the postseason running.

The victory earned the Spartans champion status in the West Central District III tournament and the No. 1 state seed.

Details of Saturday’s District match were not available at press time, but the Spartans enter the first round of the WIAA championship today, Wednesday. The undefeated girls will take on the Kingston Buccaneers at Sunset Chev Stadium at 7 p.m.
