Sumner girls track and field

During a close loss to Auburn Mountainview, a pair of Spartan girls were triple winners. Jordan Thompson was tops in the 200 meters, long jump and triple jump, while Rhaven Dean won the shot put, discus and javelin.

Sumner boys track and field

Josh Riley helped pile up plenty of points during the Spartans’ SPSL 3A victory over Auburn Mountainview, winning the 300-meter hurdles, high jump and long jump, while also running a leg on the victorious 400-meter relay team. Connor Wedington won both sprints and freshman Adam Sjolund made an immediate splash in his first high school meet, winning at both 1,600 and 3,200 meters.
