Spartans thump Bremerton, head into final district games | Sumner Baseball

The White River Hornets lost their May 8 game, pitting the Spartans against Lindbergh at 1 p.m. Saturday.

The Sumner baseball team defeated Bremerton 5-0 Wednesday night, moving them into the last two round of the West Central District III tournament. The games will be played at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds Saturday.

The Spartans earned two runs in the first inning, two in the second, and a final run in the sixth.

Nathan Harrell, finishing the game with 1-RBI, went to bat twice and connected twice. He ran to base once himself.

Chase Torgison, 1-RBI, hit a double and stole one base; he ran to home plate once himself. Tysen Fischlin, 1-RBI, also hit a double and ran to home once himself.

On the mound, Christian Parsons pitched seven innings and struck out Bremerton players five times.
