Stroud signs with Yakima Valley

Dustin Stroud, senior third baseman and pitcher for the White River High baseball squad, has signed a letter of intent to play for Yakima Valley Community College next spring.

According to White River coach Mike Williams, Stroud will be depended upon to play a critical role in the Hornets’ anticipated success in the upcoming South Puget Sound League 3A baseball campaign, as he has been a starter for three years and was named to the SPSL 3A’s first team all-league team in 2009.

“Dustin has all of the tools to be a really good college baseball player,” Williams said. “He is a really strong thrower and hitter and will definitely help Yakima Valley out next year.”
