The Prodigious Fund Thoroughbred Showcase provides an opportunity to show retired (or ready to retire) Thoroughbreds to potential buyers.

The Prodigious Fund Thoroughbred Showcase provides an opportunity to show retired (or ready to retire) Thoroughbreds to potential buyers. Horses that have trained or raced at Emerald Downs – including those currently out on the farm – will be accepted into the showcase.

The Prodigious Fund Thoroughbred Showcase will be held at the Morris J. Alhadeff (WTBOA) Sales Pavilion on Saturday, September 13. Horses will need to be in the temporary stalls by 8 a.m. on the morning of the Showcase. Public viewing of the horses will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. at the temporary stalls, and the public showcase will be at the pavilion from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This is not a sale. Participants reserve the option to sell the horse privately to the interested party. There is no charge to participate, but the Prodigious Fund asks that a donation be made to the Fund if your

horse sells.

Last year 15 of 30 horses sold for a high price of $3,500, a low price of free and an average sale price of $1,500.

Space will be granted on a first come, first served basis. Please be honest in your assessment of your horse’s soundness and if you have any questions or would like an entry form, please e-mail Sophia McKee at sophiam@emeralddowns.com.
