Due to the holidays, we went to print early and didn’t cover all events from over the weekend. The following is results from games played Friday and Saturday.

Sumner Boys Basketball

The Spartans played on Friday, Dec. 20 and Saturday, Dec. 21.

On Friday, they faced off against Steilacoom and the score has not yet been posted. They played Lynden on Saturday and lost 43-40.

The Spartans next game is at 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 27 against Kennewick at the SunDome in Yakima.

Sumner Girls Basketball

The Spartans girls basketball team played two games over the weekend and went 2-0.

On Friday, they beat Steilacoom 50-30 and on Saturday, they beat Enumclaw 52-41.

The Spartans next game is tonight at 7 p.m. at Auburn High School.

Bonney Lake Boys Basketball

The Panthers played Franklin Pierce on Saturday, Dec. 21 and lost 59-51.

Bonney Lake is 0-7 on the season overall and have yet to play a conference game.

The Panthers next game is at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28 at Auburn High School.

Bonney Lake Boys Wrestling

The Panthers boys wrestling team competed in the Hammerhead Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

The scores from the meets have not been posted yet.

Bonney Lake’s next meet is at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28 in the JV SPSL Invite at Graham Kapowsin.
