The top four wrestlers in each weight division at the Region 3 Tournament at Olympic High Saturday move on to the state tournament Feb. 17 and 18 in the Tacoma Dome.

In front of their home crowd Saturday, the Hornets put seven in the finals and came away with four titles. Fife won the eight-team tournament with 290.5 points. White River trailed a point and a half at 289. Sumner was third with 268.

Trevor Kurtz took an injury default for his 120-pound crown.

Brandon Short won the 145-pound title by pinning his Fife opponent.

Brennon Gulin pinned John Santos of Steilacoom for the 160-pound championship.

Chris Skinner pinned Ramsey Davis of Washington at 182 pounds for the title.

Carl Klein, 126, Andre Fails, 195, and Justin Nale, 285, were runners-up for the Hornets.

Lucus Doll, 106, Cody Schwab, 113, Garret Severson, 152, Travis Morris, 170, were third-place finishers.

Bryce Thompson, 120, and Garrett Robertson, 182, were fourth-place finishers.
