WRHS TENNIS: Hornets finish at 8-6 in league

Against the Trojans, Michael Baron won his singles match 7-5, 6-3, while Hayden Speyer and Cameron Albright won 6-4, 6-3.

In its 3-2 win over the Cardinals Oct. 6, Noah Geehan earned a singles’ victory, 6-1, 6-2, while Jason Tyler and Justin Gaull won 6-4, 6-1 and Sam Bruckbauer and Tommy McCarragher earned doubles victories.

Geehan also was a singles winner in the Hornets’ 4-1 victory over Steilacoom Oct. 5. He won 6-4 then lost 6-1 and rallied for a 7-6(7-5) victory. After dropping the first set 6-1, Tanner Williams and Josh Mills bounced back for a 6-1, 6-1 win. Tyler and Gaull won 6-1, 6-1. Bryan France and Clayton Menzel won 7-5, 7-5.

The Hornets dropped a 4-1 league match to Washington where the No. 3 doubles team of Tyler and Gaull won 6-2, 6-4.
