The Bonney Lake High soccer team improved to 2-0 on the young season Wednesday night, defeating Lindbergh High 3-2 in the Panthers’ second nonleague contest.
Bonney Lake jumped on the scoreboard early, when Beverly Kobe found the net at the 9-minute mark. Alicia Bowman added a goal at 35 minutes and the Panthers’ enjoyed a 2-0 lead at intermission.
Lindbergh made things interesting with a goal at 65 minutes, but the Panthers’ Olivia Ottinger provided some breathing room with a goal five minutes later. That proved crucial, as Lindbergh added a final goal in the 75th minute.
A district rivalry will be played out tonight, Thursday, when Bonney Lake hosts Sumner High.
