Offering new and used appliances, repairs and service calls, Doug Reynolds launched American Appliance in October.

Aside from selling both new and previously-owned items, Reynolds offers appliance repairs either in his shop or in customers’ homes; and, catering to the do-it-yourselfer, he sells parts. Pre-owned appliances come with a 90-day warranty and in-home service calls will run a customer $76.

Reynolds emphasizes that dryer inefficiency can often be traced to dirty dryer vents, rather than the machine. To solve that problem, he offers duct cleaning as one of his services.
