WII.FM – What’s In It For Me?

“What has the chamber done for me lately?” I wanted to take this opportunity to educate our businesses and residents of the Enumclaw area on what the chamber can do for you.

1. Assist more than 3,000 phone inquiries including tourism, demographics and business.

2. Host a 24/7 Web site with information on Enumclaw and our members.

3. Mail dozens of relocation and informational packets on Enumclaw nationwide.

4. Assist more than 5,000 visitors annually from around the world.

5. Run a Visitor Information Center six days a week.

6. Host or participate in community events like the Stars and Stripes Fourth of July celebration, Stratocruiser Car Show and downtown trick-or-treating

7. Host an annual auction and awards celebration.

8. Honor Enumclaw’s Business of the Year.

9. Honor Enumclaw’s Volunteer of the Year.

10. Award $1,000 scholarships in memory of Wes Borreson to Enumclaw High School seniors pursuing a business degree.

11. Partner with the Auburn chamber to host a career conference for EHS juniors and seniors.

12. Host an annual Business Expo at the King County Fair to promote business.

13. Host an annual Golf Classic where everybody has a great day of golf and networking.

14. Host the political candidates forum so voters can make informed decisions.

15. Serve on the board for the Chinook Scenic Byways promoting Enumclaw nationally.

16. Be responsible for the 501c3 nonprofit, Enumclaw Community Enhancement Foundation, the umbrella to organizations such as Stars and Stripes Celebration, Education Foundation and the Logging Legacy.

17. Welcome businesses joining us as the leading business advocate and celebrate with grand openings and ribbon cuttings.

18. Added a new membership and marketing director for the chamber and community.

19. Publish an informative monthly newsletter, “Viewpoint.”

20. Blast out Association of Washington Business Fast Facts weekly; keeping businesses informed on Olympia.

21. Host monthly business breakfasts with informative guest speakers and networking.

22. Host Business After Hours, a business-to-business networking opportunity.

23. Offer Certificate of Origin service for businesses.

24. Sell tickets to many community events, plays and performances.

25. Produce the Enumclaw Business Directory and Visitor Guide.

26. Produce the Enumclaw city map including surrounding communities.

27. Offer complimentary chamber, Washington state and national publications daily.

28. Offer visitor information 24/7 through our Web site, at the chamber office and informational kiosk at the Enumclaw Expo Center.

29. Offer Enumclaw-related memorabilia at the Visitor Information Center.

30. Give away free goodie bags filled with business promotional items or coupons.

31. Support downtown beautification with Adopt-a-Garden along Cole Street.

32. Speak at the Small Business Start-Up Orientation at Green River Community College.

33. Crime Stoppers of Enumclaw – offer a reward program from incidents affecting our businesses such as burglary or graffiti.

34. Courtesy of The Courier-Herald, write a monthly business column in the local newspaper.

35. Offer AAOA benefits for our members.

36. Promote “Shop Local” with Chamber Dollars.

37. Founding member of the South Sound Chamber Legislative Coalition – a strong voice in

Olympia for our businesses.

38. Strong working relations with elected officials at the local, county, state and federal levels.

39. Volunteer board of directors made up of business leaders serving you.
