Plenty of promotions at six northwest Arrow locations

The company is locally-owned and operated. It’s an independent building material dealer with six locations in the Puget Sound region including Buckley.

Shawn Roehr, former vice president and general manager, was promoted to company president. Roehr helped start Arrow Lumber in 1997 in Eatonville, Wash., as assistant manager. According to Wagner, he was an integral part of the company’s expansion. Roehr became co-owner in 2006.

Chief Financial Office Jeff Wertenberger was promoted to vice president/chief financial officer. Wertenberger’s four-year tenure with the company includes all aspects of accounting.

Lloyd Gentry, former director of operations and manager of the Orting facility, was promoted to vice president/director of operations. Gentry started at Arrow Lumber shortly after its inception and was promoted to store manager of the Eatonville facility in 1999. In 2006, Gentry managed the Orting store. He was promoted to director of operations in 2007.

Former Eatonville store manager Steve Putney received a promotion to vice president/store manager. Putney, an 11-year employee, started as contractor sales in Port Orchard. He became manager of the Eatonville outlet in 2006. Putney received the company award for being the most active in their respective communities.

Former Randle Store Manager Greg Simpson received a promotion to vice president/store manager. Simpson was Arrow Lumber’s first hire for a part-time yard position while finishing his senior year at Eatonville High School. He has held many positions during his tenure. Simpson, in 2004, was promoted to manager of the company’s facility in Randle.

Chris Peterson, former Port Orchard manager, is now vice president/store manager. Peterson has been in the building material business for many years and started at Arrow Lumber as yard manager at the Buckley facility. He was promoted to Port Orchard store manager in 2007.

Cadian Hendricks, former Port Townsend manager, was named vice president/store manager. Hendricks started with Arrow Lumber two and a half years ago and has built the temporary facility. He is waiting for a building permit for an 8,000-square-foot permanent store.
