District effort to get input is appreciated

This letter is in reference to the telephone survey that my husband and I received from the Enumclaw School Board. We are so appreciative of how the survey was conducted. For those that didn’t receive a survey call, I will explain.

The school board president contacted my home Sept. 22 (a recording from her) stating that there will be a phone survey conducted Wed., Sept. 23 at approximately 6 p.m. regarding midwinter break. This gave my husband and I time to discuss the issue. Purposely, we were home Wednesday evening to receive the phone call. My husband took the recorded call and of course, promptly followed the directions given. On Thursday, which was a surprise to both of us, the school board president called again (recorded voice) stating the results of the survey. This call came at approximately the same time as the past two nights. I was quite impressed with the delivery of the survey and how we were able to receive the results so quickly.

My family has been involved in the Enumclaw School District for 17 years. My husband and I don’t recall ever receiving a phone survey like this before and we commend the Enumclaw School Board for asking the parents for input regarding our children’s education. Thank you, Enumclaw School Board, for your diligent work and your effort to elicit parental/taxpayer input regarding school district issues.
