Hope flower snatchers put daffodils to good use

One of the mysteries around Buckley is what happened to the beautiful sea of yellow daffodils that surrounded the flag pole at the post office on Thursday night, April 14?

Last fall, members of my church planted the bulbs as part of a project to get out in the community. The town was enjoying the fruits of our labors for a few weeks as they started to bloom. That night, somebody decided they were for the pickings. I can only hope that the flowers are brightening their day or they gave them to someone that needed some cheer.

I am learning  to forgive the person or persons for the action and can only hope that we, the town, can enjoy the soon-to-be blooming tulips for a while, in case some similar action happens.

God bless,

Bob Thompson
