Kudos to those who still care about less fortunate

A big thanks to Chris Quiles, John Meadows and Daniel Scribner for their letters in your April 27, 2010, issue. My gratitude to all of you for your intelligent, articulate responses to Mr. DeVol’s diatribe.

Kudos to Brian Beckley for his column which I am sure he realized would result in an angry backlash from the uninformed and recently political. Chill, people! We all know nothing in government is ever perfect, but aren’t we lucky that there are people who still think we have a responsibility to others less fortunate.
