For those of you old enough. Do you remember all of the proto-MAGA conspiracy theories about Carter, Clinton and Obama. Not Biden, too close to home for them.

That come election time that the evil democrat and liberal president would declare “Marshal Law” (their usual spelling, not mine) and neuter the congress, courts and SCOTUS. Weaken states rights. Build FEMA concentration camps. To lock up all of their enemies and undesirables. Send the military into the streets to restore “law and order”. Thus eventually creating a dictatorship? Where the first thing they’d do is take away all the guns?

They always gave the usual, tired, easily disprovable “proofs” of the plots. They were totally immune to being told it wouldn’t happen. Because they “knew” it was all true. Then, when it didn’t happen, they went strangely silent. Until the time came for another democrat to step down.

Seems it was all projection on their part. Projection: The belief that everyone else in the world would be in favor, willing and capable of doing what they would do. Particularly, if they were on the side doing it. That is why they couldn’t be dissuaded of their conspiracy theories. Because they thought everyone else was just like them. Piously accusing the other side of being the same thing they were secretly capable of and willing to do?

Now, particularly with the events between 2016 and January 2021. Because of what’s been happening in so far in 2024. Where those now full grown MAGAs now? Raucously cheerleading and defending some of the very things they were accusing “other side” of planning to do to them. It looks like we got our first FEMA concentration camp in the everglades. Sounds like maybe the first of many more. Wonder what the government will do with them? Once all the scapegoat illegals are gone. They’ve got to use them for something.

I am curious to see if or when they decide to start restricting gun rights. But only for the ANTIFAs, anarchists, anti-American, anti-Israel terrorists. Trying to destroy our country and way of life. But never, ever, for the loyal patriotic Americans who love our country and our dear president. I used to think they wouldn’t fall for it. Now, I’m not so sure.

Finally, a quick thought on the “Epstein file” kerfuffle. Only one of these two can be correct. Choose one.

1: The MAGA’s have been snookered into a conspiracy con job. Designed to keep them PO’d, clueless and uninformed. Because, the list does not, nor has it ever existed. Since the MAGA’s are never wrong in their closely held, constantly reinforced, personal beliefs. The conspiracy chickens have come home to roost.

2: The client list really does exist and the administration refused to release it. Since the president really only worries about his own “good name” and reputation. Certainly no one else’s. That can only mean that he’s probably on it.

Personally, I pick number one. Would love two.
