July 17 was the 3rd rally I’ve been to and while I think it’s great to see so many concerned citizens rallying to make their voices heard in their local communities, we don’t seem to be making much of an impact nationally.
The reason I say this is because we haven’t been able to catch the attention of Trump because he has not commented on any of the demonstrations that have been taking place across the nation unless there has been violence, such as Los Angeles.
The only thing I think will cause him to take notice is a nationwide strike but I’m not sure we have enough people committed to the cause to make that happen and many people, in this economy can’t afford to do it.
The other possible solution is some not so good trouble, we may need to be more disruptive of our communities in order for people to take notice. This man wants to be an absolute ruler and it may take bad trouble to stop him. I laid out in a letter two weeks ago the comparisons with what is happening today and what our forefathers faced when they chose to declare their independence from an abusive king, which, of course started the Revolutionary War.
I’m beginning to think that may be our only hope. Just sayin’.
