Letter to the Editor: Magendanz is a con — retain Victoria Hunt

Reader Karen Ingalls recounts her experience at a recent candidate forum.

Chad Magendanz for Legislative District No. 5 is a, “wolf in sheep’s clothing, not a “moderate.” Do not be fooled!

At last week’s candidate forum at the Black Diamond Community Center, Chad Magendanz and Victoria Hunt explained their positions of issues.

Magendanz repeatedly spoke out of both sides of his mouth. He is for lowering housing costs yet endorsed by corporations that profit from high housing costs.

He said he’s “financially conservative,” yet funded by the party of wild deficit spending and billionaire tax breaks.

He’s pro-education, yet supports funneling public-school funding to charter schools, basically publicly funded private schools and often Christian oriented schools.

He supports school safety yet explained his insane ideology of arming teachers from on-campus gun lockers and taking armed duty during teachers’ planning periods.

Seriously? Gun lockers in schools? What could possibly go wrong? Chad then revealed who he really is when early on he said he is, “socially liberal,” yet in his final statements he blew the MAGA dog whistle saying he supports, “protecting girls” in sports and “parent rights.”

Both are divisive extremist positions of Mothers For Liberty and MAGA Christian Nationalists that embody everything in opposition of what “socially liberal” voters support. Extremists are not Moderates!

Two faced, Chad, you are a wolf in sheep’s clothing! I’ll be voting to retain Victoria Hunt.
