Jon Buss has written a shocking public letter to readers of the Courier-Herald. I have a few questions I would like to ask Jon publicly. I hope he will share his response in another public letter, so that everyone who has read his other letter can see it.
Your unqualified praise for federal immigration enforcement was published one week after a masked federal police officer was filmed killing a woman in Minneapolis. Ten days after your letter was published, a squad of masked federal police officers were witnessed holding a man down, shooting him in the back “so many times,” and counting his bullet holes.
Are you a retired cop who policed Enumclaw for over three decades? Did you give your above-perfect letter grade to federal immigration enforcement before, or after you learned learned about the killing on Jan. 7, 2026?
