We are very fortunate to have someone from our own community taking on the challenge of running for state representative for the 31st District. Cathy Dahlquist has enthusiastically committed herself to the time, energy and drive it takes to run for a political office because she cares about the people and issues facing our communities.

Cathy has already devoted herself to public service as a member of the Enumclaw School Board. Improving our schools and at the same time being fiscally responsible, are goals that Cathy has worked tirelessly to achieve.

I know that Cathy will bring this same level of commitment to being our state representative. As a school board member Cathy has made herself available to listen to the issues that families and educators are facing in today’s schools. She will do the same for citizens of the 31st District and will seek sensible, responsible solutions for the problems we all face during tough economic times.

I have known Cathy for a number of years and have been able to see first hand her caring as a wife and mother, her fun and humor as a friend and her work ethic as a business owner and school board member. I am excited to vote for Cathy in the upcoming election as I know she has what it takes to bring a fresh perspective to politics in our district.
