Reader upset by partisan talk at town meeting

I appreciated the reporting of the so-called “town meeting” recently conducted in Bonney Lake by state Sen. Pam Roach. I was also disturbed by it.

For a state senator to advertise a town hall meeting and then say at that meeting that citizens could prevent unwanted decisions if they “fund the good team” is both base and unethical. A town hall meeting? Sounds clearly like a fundraising event to me. And the “right team”? This is the kind of partisan bickering that we Americans so despise.

Looks like Pam Roach is part of the problem, not the solution. Sounds like it’s time for citizens in our area to select a new state senator, one not so committed to perpetuating gridlock in our government.
