The right to vote should require more than just being able to breathe | Letter to the Editor

That’s part of the problem we have today – people voting that have never read the Constitution and voting for politicians that don’t uphold their oath of office.

There should be a test to pass showing you have some knowledge of the Constitution. To become a U.S. citizen you must have a general knowledge of the fundamentals of U.S. history and government. The Constitution is the rule book on how government should function.

Just being able to breathe shouldn’t be the only requirement to vote.
