We want to express our total support of the four-year replacement maintenance and operation levy for the Enumclaw School District on Feb. 9, 2010.

Providing quality education in an environment conducive to obtaining the maximum benefit from instructional opportunities is important to parents, students and staff. This includes property maintained facilities and adequate funds for operations.

This levy is not a new tax. It will replace a levy approved by Enumclaw School District voters in February 2006. This replacement levy represents 18 to 19 percent of the school district’s annual operating budget.

Today’s educational programs in the Enumclaw School District contribute to the development of responsible citizens ready to take their roles as future leaders. We support the M and O levy to help the ESD achieve their goals.
