I would disagree with your columnist on the point that King County bears prime responsibility by lack of drainage district oversight by offering this (“King County failed taxpayers with lack of drainage district oversight,” published May 25).

The residents of the drainage district are the people who elected those officials. I would say they bear that responsibility for not ensuring those drainage district officials were doing their job.
