Where was the Tea Party during the Bush Administration?

Repugnican/tea hypocrites – where was your loud tax rhetoric during the Bush misadministration? Clinton handed Bush a financial surplus. Bush handed Obama a financial deficit. That financial deficit of Bush’s came very close to bankrupting the U.S.A.

Bush hid the cost of his illegal war; it was never shown in the budget. And now Obama has shown us the cost of that war; it’s listed in the budget. Presto – our financial deficit appears much larger now since Obama has taken office as he has allowed we the people to see what Bush had done to deceive us. Can you say hypocrite?

Now Obama has been forced to correct another Bush mess-up. Bush did not allow American troops to finish the job in Afghanistan; indeed, when American troops who had fought, bled and died to get to bin Laden were within hours of capturing or killing him ( remember the news accounts of the time?) Bush strangely ordered our troops to let the Afghans finish the job. Who couldn’t, or wouldn’t get bin Laden. Can you say treason, hypocrites?

Now that the Bush tax cuts have strangled our economy, we in Washington state are strangling, too; hence the agonizing work our state Legislature has been forced to do.

So I now have another question for you: in order to balance our state’s budget shortfall, due to Bush’s “work,” the Legislature has to either cut costs or raise taxes – or both, which they just did. My question is this: which programs do you want to cut to balance the budget? I realize you would eagerly cut programs you don’t like. Programs we don’t like personally are always easy to cut. Would you rather cut granny off her support? Pillage our schools more? Hire fewer police? Close libraries? What would you prefer? Please do not come up with “cut the fat” – not specific enough. “Fat” is, as I said, programs you or I don’t like.

I repeat, Repugnican/tea hypocrites – where were you during the Bush dark ages?
