Astronaut speaks on NASA’s future | Museum of Flight

Nicholas Patrick, former NASA Shuttle Astronaut, will present on the Orion Program, its differences from the shuttle, and the future of NASA's manned space exploration. The event is a prelude to the live feed of the December 4th Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle mission.

Nicholas Patrick, former NASA Shuttle Astronaut, will present on the Orion Program, its differences from the shuttle, and the future of NASA’s manned space exploration. The event is a prelude to the live feed of the December 4th Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle mission.

The presentation will take place on Saturday, September 20 at 2 p.m. in the William M. Allen Theater at the Museum.

Patrick has logged over 308 hours in space and retired from the NASA Astronaut Corps in May 2012. According to NASA, Orion is being built to send humans farther than ever before, including to an asteroid and Mars. The spacecraft will provide living quarters for up to 21 days.
