Author hosts local workshop

Local author Joni Sensel will host an Out of This World Fantasy Writing Workshop from noon to 2 p.m. April 4 at the Lindon Bookstore in Enumclaw.

The event is for adults and kids 9 and older.

Sensel will help budding authors who have ideas for a fantasy build a world, play with special powers, or handle characters who aren’t human. Sensel will lead a workshop on how to get started, avoid old clichés, and make a fictional world come alive – whether with ghosts, magicians, vampires, aliens, demons, space tourists, or something else altogether.

In addition, there will be refreshments to celebrate Sensel’s new novel “The Farwalker’s Quest.” The cost is $20 and includes a signed book.

For information, call Sensel at 360-663-0508 or Lindon Bookstore, 360-825-1388.
