Bestselling author J.A. Jance speaks at University Place Library July 26

Jance will speak and sign books in the atrium of the University Place Civic & Library Building.

Thursday, July 26, at 7 p.m.Meet New York Times best-selling author J.A. Jance at University Place Pierce County Library, 3609 Market Place W.

Jance will talk and sign books in the atrium of the University Place Civic & Library Building.

“Pierce County Library System is thrilled to host a talk and book signing with Ms. Jance,” said Neel Parikh, executive director for Pierce County Library System. “We have responded to residents’ requests to hear from and meet authors. We are delighted that more than 20 authors have given talks and book signings at University Place Library since the library opened in its new location last year.”

To attend the free event, visit University Place Library for a free ticket. Limit two per person, while supplies last. Friends of the University Place Library are sponsoring this free event.

A portion of the proceeds from books sold at the free event will help support the Friends of the University Place Library. The Friends assist the library by providing funding for furniture and events.

Jance’s newest book in the Joanna Brady series, “Judgment Call,” is scheduled to be released July 24, and will be available for purchase at the event. “Judgment Call” is the 14th book in the series that features Brady, who solves crimes while juggling responsibilities as a devoted mother and the first female sheriff of Cochise County, Ariz.

Jance is the New York Times bestselling author of the J.P. Beaumont series, the Joanna Brady series, the Ali Reynolds series and four thrillers about the Walker Family.

She was born in South Dakota and brought up in Bisbee, Ariz. Jance lives in Seattle, Wash. and Tucson, Ariz.
