Gallery 2013 presents the black-and-white work of photographer Jeff Ross in a display running Thursday through July 2.

Ross uses multiple techniques and tools  to create his photographs, combining the latest technology with an interest in older technologies that are best suited for the images he wants to create.

“My black and white photography is a combination of traditional film as well as digital technology,” he said in a prepared statement. “Recently, most of my photos have been taken with a large format view camera which uses 4×5 sheet film. My prints are a combination of wet darkroom prints as well as archival pigment prints.”

Much of his work centers on the western United States and Central America. “I wander a lot,” Ross said. “Photography is my way of sharing the experiences I’ve had on my journeys.”

Gallery 2013 is in Enumclaw City Hall, 1339 Griffin Ave. Hours for the exhibition space are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday,
