Buck Owens fans, the city of Enumclaw has a concert for you.

The Buckaroosters perform at 7:30 p.m. May 9 at the fieldhouse at the Enumclaw Expo Center as part of the Evenings on the Plateau series.

The Buckaroosters were created in 1999 by Dave Keenan and Keith Lowe after five weeks on the road with the play “A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline.”

“We would listen to Buck in the hotel room and realized we wanted to play his music,” Lowe said. After the play ended they put together a band and booked a gig. That was eight years and a dozen drummers ago. The band plays clubs and concerts around the Seattle area and has a loyal following of Buck-enthusiasts.

Keenan is the vocalist with Dave Ellis also on vocals and rhythm guitar. Nova ‘She-Buck’ Devonie also lends her voice to the group as well as the bass. Dan Tyack pedals the steel and CT is on drums.

The ticket prices have been the same for seven years. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Enumclaw Expo Center. Ticket prices are $14 for adults, $11 for seniors (65 and older) and students, baby through age 18. For tickets and information call 360-825-3594.

Desserts will be available by presale, pie $5 and fudge $5. Café Panini’s Pie Goddess is creating the pies and local Sweet Necessities is concocting the fudge. City Perk will have merchandise to look at and to purchase.

June 13, Jonathan Harris performs more country music. Local store owners at This N That will be taking care of business that night with decorations and items for sale.
