EHS alumni form ‘chorus line’ fundraiser

Enumclaw High School alumni will present “A Chorus Line” at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 25, 26 and 27 at the high school auditorium.

The summer production, featuring 16 alumni, is planned as a fundraiser for the EHS drama department.

Returning to star in the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical are graduates from 2006-11 including Jack Wiltse, Ally Manning, Joshua Schipper, Kelsie Crone, Phil Folan, Amanda Kelly, FX Wood, David Nygaard, Whitney Triplett, Emily Voss, Tricia Wilson, Taylor Capellaro, KeelyAnn Kelly, Kyle Sharick, Alex Castanza and Dane Chevassus.

The musical, with music by Marvin Hamlisch and lyrics by Edward Kleban, explores the world of a theatre audition and the thrills and laughs that go with it. Featuring classic songs like “I Can Do That,” “At The Ballet,” “Dance: Ten; Looks: Three,” “The Music And The Mirror,” “What I Did For Love,” and “One,” this show is sure to be a singular sensation, notes EHS drama teacher Darrell Miller.

The EHS drama department kicks off its 2011-12 lineup with the fall show “Dracula” by Bram Stoker for Halloween.

Also on the playbill are “Les Misérables,” celebrating its 25th year, and “The House at Pooh Corner,” featuring Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit and all the other classic characters.
